The CALORIES slider allows you to adjust the total number of calories per serving in your Custom Hydration mix.

The LEFT side goes as low as 100 calories for a naturally light hydration mix.

The RIGHT side will load your formula up with calories and carbs for endurance fueling, with up to about 350 calories per serving (~80g of carbs).

PRO TIP: For endurance mixes, we recommend targeting 2 calories per pound of lean body weight.

Carbs Strength

The CARBS slider allows you to adjust the ratio of simple and complex carbs in your Custom Mix.

We use a blend of three different carbohydrate sources (maltodextrin, glucose and sucrose), to allow your body to absorb and utilize calories up to 30% more efficiently than with a single carbohydrate source while using only a fraction of the sugar of traditional sports drinks.

The LEFT side of the slider has a higher percentage of faster burning glucose (dextrose) for quick energy and explosive efforts. It is easily digested and absorbed by the body, so it's perfect for high heart rate conditions.

The RIGHT side of the slider has a higher percentage of slower absorbing maltodextrin, a more sustained source of energy for endurance efforts. It also has the unique ability to provide significant calories while keeping the osmolality of your drink low.


PRO TIPS:

  • Adjusting the slider will change the percentage of total dextrose to maltodextrin without changing the total calories of your mix.
  • Move the slider to the right to reduce your Custom Mix’s sugar content.

The ELECTROLYTES slider allows you to set the amount of electrolytes you want in your Custom Hydration mix.

Our exclusive blend of electrolytes is formulated with natural sea salt, potassium, magnesium, and calcium — Essential salts to eliminate muscle cramping by rehydrating the body efficiently and replenishing the body with minerals lost through sweat.

PRO TIPS:

  • Electrolytes can have a large effect on the flavor of your drink, so unless you are a heavy sweater, really crave salt, or have the tendency for muscle cramping while working out, start out with your sodium level below 400mg.
  • You can easily view the blend’s sodium content in the box next to calories and osmolality, but to also see your entire nutrition label, including magnesium, calcium and potassium content, click the “view nutrition info” button.

Protein Strength

The PROTEIN slider allows you to personalize the amount of protein (if any) you want in your Custom Hydration mix.

Most hydration mixes for workouts under 3 hours DO NOT need protein, so the slider can stay to the far left.

But we DO recommend adding around 2-4 grams of protein per serving for endurance blends designed for 3+ hour workouts.

Protein serves to curb hunger during long workouts. This is especially useful when going with an all-in-one liquid endurance fueling strategy. Instead of turning to solid food, which is far harder for the body to digest and process, a simple, all-in-one INFINIT Endurance Mix can keep you going strong on a bottle an hour.


PRO TIP: We offer two different protein options for our Custom Hydration mixes — Our original ultra-filtered whey protein isolate and the INFINIT Vegan Blend. If your mix contains protein you will find these options listed below the Caffeine slider.

BCAAs

Adjust the slider to add branched chain amino acids (Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine) to your formula.

BCAAs Blend

The BCAAs slider allows you to add branched chained amino acids (BCAAs), Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine, into your Custom Hydration mix.

BCAAs have been found to delay fatigue during exercise, so you can go stronger for longer.

This special type of amino acid is able to be used as a duel during prolonged exercise, thereby sparing glycogen and delaying peripheral fatigue (muscles getting tired).

BCAAs also can help block the amino acid tryptophan from getting into the brain, reducing the production of serotonin, and thereby delaying central fatigue (brain fog and mental tiredness).

Supplementing BCAAs has also been found to have an immune-supporting effect, which is important during periods of heavy training and post-competition.


PRO TIPS:

  • The BCAAs we use are 100% vegan friendly.
  • Include amino acids in your endurance blend (for 3+ hour workouts) by matching the amino acid slider to the position of your protein slider.
  • Amino acids have a very neutral taste but can create a milk soapy flavor at very high levels.

Caffeine

Caffeine Strength

The CAFFEINE slider allows you to add caffeine to your Custom Hydration mix.

Keep the slider LEFT to go caffeine-free — Or go all the way to the RIGHT for 200mg of caffeine per serving.

200mg is the equivalent to 2-3 cups of strong coffee, so be careful not to overdo it, and always consult your physician before adding caffeine to your diet or Custom Mix.

Caffeine is a stimulant of the central nervous system and has been proven to improve reaction time and reduce perceived effort during activity.


PRO TIP: We recommend keeping caffeine low in endurance mixes for 3+ hour workouts (under 50mg per serving) since caffeine has a cumulative effect within the body, and only starts to break down after several hours.

Osmolality

This is the osmolality of your Custom Hydration blend when mixed in 20 ounces of water.

Osmolality is a measure of how much “stuff” is in your drink. If there is too much “stuff,” the solution in your gut will be too concentrated and your body will treat it like you just ate a cheeseburger. Your system will attempt to process it diverting blood and water from your muscles, which can result in gastric distress, dehydration, cramping, and worse.

Green (250-300 mosm/kg) indicates that your custom mix is perfectly isotonic, ultimate in absorption ability.

Yellow (between 300 and 325 mosm/kg) indicates a marginally hypertonic solution. The absorption ability is not as good as an isotonic solution, the addition of some water to dilute your mix further may be a good idea.

Red (> 325 mosm/kg) indicates a hypertonic solution and caution should be exercised. The addition of water is recommended or it may be difficult to digest and absorb this mix.

PRO TIP: To reduce the osmolality you can move the carbohydrate slider to the right, reduce electrolytes, calories or flavor.

MicroActive® CoQ10

Adds 155mg of Microactive® CoQ10 per serving, which has been shown to:

  • Reduce oxidative stress
  • Increase antioxidant activity
  • Improve blood vessel function

CoQ10 is a biomolecule and antioxidant found naturally within your body’s cells.

This "coenzyme" plays a key role in cellular respiration. But our cells’ CoQ10 levels tend to decline with age, and due to other stressors on the body. Supplementation has been shown slow this decline and can be especially beneficial for athletes who take prescription statins to control their cholesterol.

CoQ10 has also been shown to help improve endothelial (blood vessel) function.

Beta-Alanine

Adds 725 mg of beta-alanine per serving, which has been shown to:

  • Delay muscle fatigue
  • Increase power output
  • Reduce lactic acid build up

Beta-alanine is a naturally occurring beta amino acid that can help improve performance during high-intensity workouts.

Supplementation has been shown to increase the concentration of carnosine in muscles, which leads to decreases in muscle fatigue. It can also enhance exercise performance by increasing power output, and by buffering or reducing lactic acid build up.


PRO TIP: Double down and add both Creatine Monohydrate and Beta-Alanine to your Custom Mix — Combining supplementation of creatine and beta-alanine together has been shown to cause significant improvements in body composition, VO2 max, and power output at lactate threshold (LT).

I used the Infinit Custom mix for my hydration in my last 200 miler, Unreasonable East 200, in northern Queensland. It went down a treat throughout the whole race and gave me what I needed to keep pushing when the race was on the line. It will definitely be a staple for me in the future races.

I've used a custom blend from Infinit now for just under 2 years for the likes of UTA, road marathons and the OCC at UTMB last August and I can highly recommend it. Before I found Infinit (a recommendation from another Ultra runner) I struggled with fueling and kept swapping brands - now I stay with Infinit as my core fuel and supplement around it. Love it.
