Infinit Nutrition Australia introduces :PREMIUM FUEL – the perfect custom liquid nutrition blend for those athletes wanting to ‘UP’ their carb game. Developed in conjunction with Accredited Sports Dietitian and Ultra Endurance runner, Stephanie Gaskell, :PREMIUM FUEL incorporates a 2:1 Maltodextrin to Fructose mix allowing the body to absorb more carbs during those longer workouts. While the majority of sports nutrition products allow for an absorption rate of 60 grams of carbs per hour, Infinit :PREMIUM FUEL increases your carb intake to 120 grams per hour – supporting better athlete performance and aiding optimum fluid delivery.

Unsure of how many carbs you should be taking per hour?

As a rough guide, a 75g Premium Fuel blend would be suited to the endurance athlete weighing around 62-70kg competing in medium-long distance competitions eg. MTB events over 3 hours and long distance cycling, as well as half and full distance triathlon.

A 90g Premium Fuel blend is targeted towards athletes racing over longer distances, eg. long distance triathlon, 24hr MTB etc., as well as those athletes who are larger in stature, weighing in at around 70+kg.

A 120g Premium Fuel blend is for those elite level athletes who have taken the time to 'train their gut' to absorb 120g carbs per hour.  If you are training and racing at the pointy end of the spectrum, are logging big hours in training and going long regularlly, this mix is for you.

Ultra High Carb
For pro-level performance. Premium Fuel contains four different carbohydrate sources (maltodextrin, fructose, glucose, and sucrose) to allow your body to absorb and convert energy more efficiently than a single carbohydrate source.

Fructose for Max Absorption
It’s all in the gut. Premium Fuel includes a four carb blend (maltodextrin, glucose, fructose and sucrose) and features a 2:1 glucose to fructose ratio for increased caloric absorption. Fructose is digested via a completely different pathway in the gut than glucose. Adding fructose increases your gut’s saturation point for processing carbs, allowing you to digest and absorb nearly 50% more carbohydrates than using a single source approach. This particular glucose-to-fructose ratio has been well studied over the last decade and has shown to be the key to success for high carb fueling methods.

Product Questions

If I add 500mg of electrolytes to premium fuel what am I getting?
Question by: howard norton on 2 Dec 2023, 6:54 pm
Adding 500mg of electrolytes to your mix means you're getting a 500mg combination of sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium per serve. These help you to eliminate muscle cramping and aiding in recovery by rehydrating the body after loss through sweat

How do you know how much electrolytes you need in the premium fuel?
Question by: Nick Green on 14 Mar 2024, 11:56 am
Every athlete is different, but here are some guidelines that may help with your decision.

Electrolytes can have a large effect on the flavour of your drink so unless you are a heavy sweater, really crave salt or tend to experience muscle cramping during your training, start with your electrolyte levels at 400mg.

The sweet spot for most is about 500mg for men and 400mg for women as women tend to be more salt sensitive. Those choosing the 1000mg electrolyte option are often elite athletes, who have had a sweat test done, and are in the middle of a summer training block.
